Katla was the first Lady of Hammerstorm. In a time when it was rare a female was Oathed, Katla joined her Brothers as Oathsworn and showed a fire matched by few in the House. She was Erik Arngrimsson's mate and dear friend to Lord Grim Wulfheresson. She is sorely missed by the Greybeards of the House to this day. Runa was the first person in the House of Hammerstorm to hold the position of Rune Caster. As Thorgrim's Advisor, she was active in the late 80's and early 90's while married to Grim Wulfheresson before going inactive for a time. She returned to the House in the late 90's. At the time of her ascension to the Ancestors, she was the wife of First Jarl Thorgrim Igorsson, and a Jarlskona.

Styrgorm was known as the Heart of the West House. He was a man born with a disability that should have limited his physical ability, but he rose above it and fought along side his brothers in battle. He was a "Blue Blood" (one who received the Hammerstorm tattoo). A true warrior spirit, he died with a smile in his heart and a wish that we drink one for him.

Jarnsaxa is described by First Jarl Thorgrim as possibly the sweetest person he ever knew. All who knew her would likely agree with this statement. She was kind, soft spoken and loving. Her passing left a lingering cloud over those who loved her.

Rorricbjorn was known for his infectious smile and unwavering willingness to help others. He was recognized by the Barony of Dragon's Mist with the Jewel of the Dragon award for his ongoing and tireless assist to the barony. He was a Brother and a true Friend.

Rolf joined the West House and quickly rose to the position of War Advisor. Rolf later went on to start the North House of Hammerstorm! He was a "Blue Blood" (one who received the Hammerstorm tattoo) and Jarl Erik describes him as one he could always rely on to have his back and that of the House.

THL Mateo devoted his life to serving others. At every group event he would sacrifice time in armor to make sure that everyone was included and welcome. Before becoming the 2nd Jarl of Hammerstorm South, THL Mateo was the camp coordinator. He made sure everyone had a place in the camp, was well fed, and taken care of. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity.

Sir Stephen was the 7th Knight of Calontir and the 1st and only Knight in the House of Hammerstorm! He had already touched many of our brothers and sisters lives by the time he joined as a full member. He was the Baronial Champion/Knight to our Lady Cerridwyn and Sir Thomas. He befriended First Jarl Thorgrim and gave him sage council. He helped Jarl Helgi to find a home for him and his young family. He eventually befriended the whole house. He was like a big brother, father and steadfast friend to many of us. He was always encouraging our members to go back to school, finish school and then celebrated their completion of degrees. Known as a bit of a flirt, he only had love for his wife, he was very proud of her and those he called friends. He was always positive and an active member to the day of his passing.

Sifka joined the House at the age of 19. She was a natural fiery spirit who immediately fit in to our group. Even at that age, she had a command of prose and poetry that rivaled many. She was soon the Skald of Hammerstorm West. Over time, life took her to Arizona, where for a short time, she became a Grivendi (female Jarl) and chartered a House chapter there. Unfortunately, in the area she was in, there was not a lot of interest, and after about six months, the charter disbanded. Sifka found herself back in Nevada and, after a time, asked to become an active member of the Northwest House. She traveled from the (SCA) West Kingdom to An Tir to attend events and soon became the Northwest Skald. A beautiful person and spirit, she will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
